SomaTalk™ is a parts-based, body-centered emotional processing "conversation" infused with the power of breath. Guided by sensory awareness, clients cycle from states of suffering into states of awakened peace through four somatic processes: Sensing, Opening, Moving & Awakening.

Begin with Sensing
Identify Story, Shape and Shadow

Story:
Parts holding core beliefs. Our self-depricating narratives.
Shape:
Protective Parts presenting in posture, gestures, breathing and personality.
Shadow:
Exiled, often younger Parts, burdened with painful memories, shame and suppressed emotions.
Self:
The adult, open, spacious, loving and limitless part of self available to hold other parts with loving-kindness.
Cycle through four somatic processes:
Story, shape and shadow are sensed with conscious connected breathing and invited to "talk" through somatic interventions. Adaptive parts of self awaken into their authentic roles.
Sense
clients learn to drop down into the implicit felt sense of knowing while also befriending parts of self through sensory awareness (Gendlin).
Open:
clients learn to notice and open defenses to feeling by opening the heart and body while offering compassion.
Move
using breathwork and other practices, stuck emotions are invoked and invited to move through the body with sensory inspired gestures and somatic expression.
Awaken:
During the final integration phase, the body speaks through the voice of intuition and loving-kindness. To integrate is to awaken to ones wholeness again.

Move whatever emotional and physical impules that emerge using breathwork as a vehicle for expression. Self-Expression.
